Python & Web Developer building practical software systems

I build web applications, automation tools and data-driven software, with a focus on Python, backend logic and solving real-world problems.

My recent work includes a Python-based home automation system connected to real hardware and an adaptive learning application with automated content generation and quality-control tooling.

Selected Work

Two projects that best represent how I approach software development: understand the problem, choose the simplest architecture that fits it, make the important decisions explicit, and iterate until the system works reliably.

01

AC Automation

A Python-based home automation system that controls a real Mitsubishi air conditioner through MELCloud, using indoor and outdoor conditions, scheduled decision logic and historical data to make more context-aware control decisions.

The system combines a FastAPI backend, scheduled automation, rule-based adaptive analytics, a React operator dashboard and multiple safety layers designed around the fact that the software controls physical hardware.

Literatura Quiz

An adaptive learning web application for Bulgarian high-school students that prepare for Bulgaria's state matriculation exam in Bulgarian Language and Literature.

It combines 702 verified questions, personalized practice based on previous performance, deterministic content generation and automated quality-control scripts, all inside a fully static React application with no backend or user accounts.

How I work

I like building software around real problems rather than adding complexity for its own sake.

That means choosing architecture based on actual constraints, separating business logic from I/O, making failure modes explicit, testing important behaviour and documenting why a technical decision was made, not only what was implemented.

I value readable code, explicit trade-offs and systems that can be understood and debugged rather than treated as black boxes.
